Does your teen need
They make hasty, poorly-considered decisions and need to have better judgment.
They’re being bullied at school – or they’re the one doing the bullying. They don’t get enough exercise or need to lose weight.
They have low self-esteem and seem to be down all the time. They give up when things get difficult and fail to meet their goals.
Raising a teenager requires persistence & patience
It can test your sanity even at the best of times. Yet, you want the best for your teenager. You want them to have the tools they need to succeed now and later in life – and you’d like that to happen without having to pull out all your hair in the process. Getting them to do anything you want them to do can feel utterly impossible, and you’re not sure where to start.
Studying martial arts helps kids learn how to overcome their problems and learn important lessons – the kind of lessons that will follow them to your home, to the classroom, and for the rest of their lives.
your teen will grow with every class!
Teenagers who study martial arts learn the benefits of self-control and discipline with every lesson. Our classes emphasize core values like discipline, respect, and persistence. Students learn that the way they treat others – in and out of the dojo – reflects on them as people and affects their ability to achieve their goals.
My son has been a student here for a few years now, we really enjoy the staff, they are courteous and really care about their students.
If you need a place where your child or yourself can grow confidence or learn self defense this is the place to go. Great classes!! Great instructors!!! Highly recommend.
The instructors are incredibly patient, skilled and amazing--especially at dealing with small children or adults who are struggling to learn the form and are new to martial arts. I love the challenges presented by the workouts and the fact that they care and follow up frequently. Being present at the school gives one the feeling of being taught and looked after by members of one's own family.
My son has been attending Chan's for about 8 months and it's been so good for him. The instructors are wonderful and patient, while still promoting discipline and structure. My son has received multiple post cards from the staff at Chan's acknowledging his progress and encouraging him to keep working hard. To take the time to send a hand written note is just so nice and so appreciated and my son loves getting them in the mail!
I couldn't recommend Chan's enough.
My daughter has been a member Of Chan's since she was 4 , she is 9 now. I started her there when I noticed she had a lot of anger issues and no outlet. she was diagnosed with ADHD. and o.d.d. so Chan's has been a huge blessing to us! thank you for all that you guys do
